Getting to Italy wasn't easy. We would have never done this if it werent for inspiration and divine intervention. Looking back, it has been a small miracle. Here are a few small chapters of interest from August to October 2009.
Why Italy?
Probably the most common question we are asked is "Why Italy?". The simple answer is prayer and inpiration. The longer answer is to permit our children to have a unique education that will enrich their lives by learning art, music and Italian while Dave is working internationally. Our question should be..."why not Italy?"
Last Minute Move-out
In trying to rent our home in Texas, it became clear that we would lose up to $18,000 if it sat idle. After careful throught and diligent prayer, Heather and I both felt inspired to sell our home - and also who to call to offer it to. This all happened within two weeks of leaving for Italy, so it was no small task to pack out our things and get out the door. Had it not been for family and dear friends, we would have never been able to pull it off. We have regularly asked the Lord to bless our friends and family for the sacrifices made on our behalf.
Selling and moving out of our home was most unexpected and difficult...but inspired. Sometimes the right things aren't always the easiest. (Everyone to add details).
